THE “FOUNDATION WEEK 201 WORKS MASS OPENING CEREMONY” PROGRAM WAS HELD WITH THE HONOR OF THE PRESENCE OF OUR PRESIDENT, MR. RECEP TAYYİP ERDOĞAN.
With the presence of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the collective inauguration of 201 Foundation Works was held as part of the “Foundation Week 100th Anniversary Special Mass Opening Ceremony.
Included in our 201 works, the Hatay Antakya Sarımiye Mosque, the Sivas Divriği Great Mosque, the Istanbul Kariye Mosque, and the Kosovo Pristina Emir Aladdin Mosque were inaugurated by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, via live video connection.
As part of the program, a music performance was presented by the Istanbul Historical Music Ensemble, and the Foundation Week Promotional Film, the UNESCO Wooden Mosques Film, and the introduction of the 201 works were shown.
During the ceremony, our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, presented an award to businessman and philanthropist Bayram Kızılaslan, who covered all the construction expenses of the Malatya Yeni Mosque, which suffered severe damage in the February 6 earthquakes.
In his speech during the opening ceremony, our Director General Mr. Sinan Aksu thanked President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his support in revitalizing the 201 works and presented a piece inspired by the mihrab niche of the Süleymaniye Mosque’s qibla wall, crafted with İznik tiles, to President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, alongside our Minister Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
The program concluded with prayers by the President of Religious Affairs, Mr. Ali Erbaş, following the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 201 works inaugurated by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
