THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOUNDATIONS MR. BURHAN ERSOY MADE INVESTIGATION IN SKOPJE ISA BEY MOSQUE PRE-RESTORATION

The Director General of Foundations Mr. Burhan Ersoy who made examinations on the restoration works in the mosques of the Ottoman Period in North Macedonia payed a visit to the Mufti of Skopje Kenan Ismaili on the last day of his program and exchanged information about the mosques and foundation works in the city. After the visit, Mr. Ersoy made pre-restoration investigation at the Isa Bey Mosque which will be restored by the Directorate General of Foundations. Restoration work of the mosque will be carried out in the scope of the “The Cooperation Protocol on North Macedonia Skopje Isa Bey Mosque, Yahya Paşha Mosque, Ohrid Ali Paşha Mosque and Bitola Haci Mahmut Bey Mosque Reconstruction, Restitution Preperation of Restoration Artwork Landscaping Static and Installation Projects and Reports and Restoration and Conservation Implementation Work” signed on 01 April 2015 between the Directorate General of Foundations and the Presidency of the Islamic Community of North Macedonia. The restoration work of the mosque which was built by Ishakoğlu Isa Bey one of the Ottoman Rulers in 1475 is planned to start soon.
