THE COOPERATION PROTOCOL ON RECONSTRUCTION WORK OF FERHAT PASHA CLOCK TOWER IN BANJA LUKA WAS SIGNED
After the Arnauidija (Defterdar) Mosque which reached the final stage in the reconstruction works carried out by our Directorate General in the city of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Ferhat Pasha Clock Tower will also be reconstructed in accordance with its original.
The cooperation protocol on the reconstruction of the clock tower which carries the speciality of being the first clock tower of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was destroyed as a result of earthquakes and war, signed between our Directorate General, the Waqf Directorate of the Islamic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Banja Luka Municipality and the Banja Luka Mufti with an online ceremony honored by our Ambassador to Sarajevo, H.E. Haldun Koç on the 3rd of November 2020.
With the reconstruction of the building which was understood from its endowment deed was built in 1587 by Ferhat Pasha, the last governer and first grand seigneur of Bosnia, a significant contribution will be made to the transfer of our common heritage to the future generations and the completion of the historical texture of the city of Banja Luka which is the symbol of coexistence.
