RECONSTRUCTION OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA FOCA ALACA MOSQUE WAS COMPLETED BY OUR DIRECTORATE GENERAL AND OPENED FOR WORSHIP WITH THE CEREMONY ON 04.05.

Foça Alaca Mosque, which was built by Hasan Nazır Ağa in 1550, was completely destroyed during the war between 1992-1995. The mosque, which has an important place in the Balkan architecture with its elegance and rich interior decoration, is named after these decorations. The mosque, which was completed by our Directorate General with the cooperation of  the Islamic Community Directorate of Waqfs ​, was opened to worship in a ceremony held on 4.05.2019.

Approximately 5 thousand Bosnian and many bureaucrats and muftis including our Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Director General Dr. Adnan Ertem, Turkey's Ambassador to Sarajevo Haldun Koç, The Islamic Community Reis-ul Ulema Dr. Hüseyin-ef. Kavazovic, Bosnian Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, The Islamic Community Director of Waqfs Dr. Senaid Zaimovic, The Mufti of Goražde Remzija-ef. Pitic and Mayor of Foca Radisav Mašić was attended to the ceremony.​
