IMRAHOR ILYAS BEY MOSQUE COOPERATION PROJECT FIRST SEMINAR WAS HELD

The first seminar of “Medart Turkey Imrahor Mosque Restoration Cooperation Project” carried out with the cooperation of The General Directorate of Foundations and the Italian Association of Architecture, Art and Urban Restoration (Assoretauro) was held on 06 May 2021 by the attendance of the Director General of Foundations Mr. Burhan ERSOY on the online platform.

In the seminer, which brought technical staff of the General Directorate of Foundations and companies working in the filed of restoration in Italy a general introduction was made on the restoration diagnosis and analysis approaches and application procedures applied in Italy for the creation of the Project before the restoration.

“Medart Turkey Imrahor Mosque Restoration Cooperation Project” has been prepared in order to create a common dialogue special for the restoration of Istanbul Imrahor Ilyas Bey Mosque in the field of restoration and to share information on technology and experience on modern restoration techniques.

Eight training seminars (either in the form of online training or fieldwork depending on the course of the pandemic) are anticipated in the project, carried out between April and September 2021.
