DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOUNDATIONS MR. BURHAN ERSOY VISITED THE HAYDAR KADI MOSQUE IN BITOLA
Director General of Foundations Mr. Burhan Ersoy who went to North Macedonia for examining the restoration works of the Ottoman Period Mosques on site, continued his program with a visit to The Haydar Kadı Mosque. Restoration works of Haydar Kadı Mosque in Bitola city of North Macedonia started in 2012 and after four years of work the mosque was reopened to worship in 2016. The historical building known as the “Princess of Balkans” was built by Kadi Haydar Efendi during the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent had been used as a warehouse for 104 years before the restoration made by The Directorate General of Foundations.
During his visit to Haydar Kadı Mosque the Director General of Foundations Mr. Burhan Ersoy was accompanied by the Mufti of Bitola Mr. Amit Rasımi.
