DENMARK SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION AND BELIEF MICHAEL SUHR PAID A VISIT TO THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF FOUNDATIONS BURHAN ERSOY

Kingdom of Denmark special representative for freedom of relegion and belief Michael SUHR who had been in Turkey to obtain information about the status of religious minorities in our country paid a visit to The General Director of Foundations Burhan ERSOY on 30 January 2020. SUHR, who exchanged views on developments regarding the rights of Community Foundations in Turkey since 2003, especially expressed his satisfaction on the solution of the Non-Muslim Community Foundations Properties by the help of the legal regulations issued with in the scope of European Union harmonization process. The General Director of Foundations Ersoy declared with the awareness of being a country that respects freedoms all Institutions of Turkey always negotiate with representatives of minorities and The General Directorate of Foundations has always made an effort for finding solutions to problems of the Non-Muslim Community Foundations and stated in our country everyone regardless of his/her religion and creed has the right to establish foundation and there is no restriction on this matter.
