In the structure of the Directorate General of Foundations, there are 11 museums which have 17,691 pieces of donated historical artefacts, with another 11 museums planned to be inaugurated within one year. Collections of the Foundation museums include carpets, rugs, clocks, purses, manuscripts of the Holy Koran, candleholders compiled from various regions of Turkey; deeds of trust of foundation, royal writs and other deeds of trust kept in the archives of the foundations as well as miscellaneous historic arts such as wooden door wings and window casements, parts of guardrails and pieces of chinaware that are not usable at their original location. With many foundational works in its collection, the Ankara Museum of Foundational Works is centrally positioned among the Foundations museums. Also having a prestigious position among the museums in Turkey, the Ankara Museum of Foundational Works is one of the museums which were nominated for the prize "European Museum Forum's Museum of the Year 2009", thus proving itself at the international platform too.

Foundation museums, having 29 museum researchers and 5 art historians in its professional staff, has a prestigious place in Turkey with its studies on museum and exhibition management, conservational and curatory. In these Foundation museums exist many chandeliers, hand-written Qurans, pouches, clocks, rugs, complied from different areas of Turkey; deeds of trust stored in the archives of the institution, decrees, bara'ahs and wooden window and door sashes, pieces of fenders and ceramics.
